Soil Cement Driveway Final Update
I put in my version of soil cement driveway a few years back. However I had water issues that were the cause of the failure of the initial driveway. Those water issues continued to plague my soil cement and when fixing the water issues, I could not help but to damage the cement. Now I plan to redo the driveway but this time with asphalt millings.

Note at the end of the video the technique of getting a rolling start and pushing straight ahead. A more powerful person than me could push the snow. I figured it out. For a few dollars and minutes you can determine if your head gasket is bad. After making your pressure tester. 1. Once the vehicle is up to normal operating temperature, relieve the pressure in your system by opening the radiator/degas bottle cap. 2. Reset your pressure gauge back to zero. Thanks. I like solo because it gives my ideas an opportunity to percolate. Also I have had employees before and often times when complicated things are getting done all they do is stand in the corner, gossip and say how I should be doing it. But, give them the task and nothing gets done. Go figure. Anyway I like solo.

      @@Depression2010 There was a book written by a then small remodeling company about how a one man show is most efficient. I think the premise was that only sometimes does a lead carpenter need to call in an extra hand for lifting,. The benefits were a very high quality and efficiency of work. .....but I can add, it does get boring at times.

    You're doing fine but you're fighting the stone you used. Screeding is a lot easier if you don't use stone over 3/4" and it looks like you've got a lot of 1 1/2" in there, which could possibly also affect the strength of the concrete. Also no need to mix that dry, just making more work for yourself and breathing a lot of stuff you don't need to be breathing, you've got plenty of working time with it to mix it wet and using a mortar hoe will make mixing it a lot easier and do a lot better job of mixing it.

    Good afternoon I just bought a 632 bobcat it goes forward backwards bucket goes up has down but will not turn at all, sounds like a car without steering fluid, Previous owner said he replaced and rebuilt both of the drive motors. I removed the hose where the bronze filter goes. There was no filter at all. The hydraulic fluid is mixed with water. It’s got a milky look to it, i removed the pump, as I was taking out the hoses from the pump, I heard a lot of air coming out of them, the pump shaft is locked. It does not move. Is this normal or this is my main issue?

    I wonder how would it work with snow blower engine above the axle. I've turned snow blower into a plow before and worked great. I have no room to throw snow but I can push it.

    • @Depression2010
      @Depression2010 4 месяца назад

      I figured it out. I can easily move a foot of snow without any strain so long as I keep the cutting edge off the surface. So what I need to do is move all but a little then repeat with blade on the ground. I did however, modify the machine again by welding an extension back onto the front allowing for total angle of the plow.

    That was interesting. Thanks for sharing. Did you have bad stock of rabbits? Do you breed the rabbits in the morning and again at night? I was told that it helps insure larg litters because the rabbits will drop more eggs. Iv seen the PVC pipe water system for Chicken that was vertical, but not horizontal.

      @@Depression2010 You said the a few rabbits produced 8 kits , 4 kits an one had two. And you were going to get rid of that one. That's why I asked, good meat rabbit stock has 8-12 offspring. That's why I wondered if they were bred twice in a day. I just learned that you can increase litter size by two separate breedings in a day, so I was wondering if you did that method.

    Have you tried adding 2 pcs. of Olympic style 5 pounder plates on each side of the grip and sliding them closer to the center where the shaft is attached as a counter balance? It might help reduce the weight of the blade. Moving the blade closer to the wheels might reduce the blade's angle.

    As a boy growing up in NYC coal ash, as well as incinerated trash and garbage were used on the streets and sidewalk in winter for foot traction. Today in nearly all areas of the Northeast this is considered a hazard. That said, I still use coal ash on my steep driveway to get my vehicles in and out.

      Yes. I can build the plow but cannot yet make it snow. I will do an update with snow removal. I am extremely confident it will work for my sidewalk where I will push snow off the edge and then move that pile with my truck plow. I am also confident it will be easy to push and will be much easier than using a shovel. Obviously if you have feet of snow and a large area it is necessary to move the snow away and stack it up.
